alison mclean

Alison McLean is an experimental photographer & filmmaker at The Photo Foundry based in Mold, North Wales in the UK.

Inspired by photographers such as William Eggleston, Sally Mann, Donna Ferrato, David Bailey and Rankin, she is described by clients as creative and imaginative, producing images with a strong graphic quality that are more modern and edgy than the mainstream.

Projects include "Beautiful Me" where post-production techniques such as airbrushing and body sculpting are questioned, and "The Passion Project" exploring the issues surrounding domestic violence.

Alison also works commercially for creatives, producing portraits and images for their websites, publications & exhibitions. Her lifestyle portraits are normally shot in the individual's studio or home, where the subjects feel relaxed and comfortable, producing a more natural portrait that reflects the person and their passions. She also runs workshops advising artists on how to photograph their own work.

Her work as a commercial photographer and videographer for the past number of years across North Wales, includes clients and briefs from musicians, festivals, graphic designers, businesses and community projects for charities.
